TDC has won the #MSD "UK Amateur Championship of the Year" award, following a hugely successful debut season.
Motorsport Days, director Ben Whibley presented the award at the Autosport International show at the Birmingham NEC earlier this month, praising the TDC for its efforts in creating an appealing championship for all levels of competitive racing driver. Competition was tough in this category with many other championships and series in the running; including the graduate series to the TDC, Trackday Trophy!
2016 has been a great season for the TDC, with bumper grid sizes and a culture of close clean racing, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere which is enjoyable for all involved. This has lead to TDC being one of the Championships with the largest average grid size in the UK.
The Motorsport Days "UK Amateur Championship of the year" award celebrates the best of UK club level racing, recognising achievements across a range of requirements such as driving standards, grid sizes, budgets and the ability to create fair and enjoyable racing for all.
